Packing, transportation and storage
Cyclopentane is usually transported by ISO Tank, and the net weight of each tank of cyclopentane is 17 tons. If it is barreled, the net weight is 150 kg/barrel.
For cyclopentane tank storage, it is recommended to use an underground tank. If it is an above ground tank, a water spray system should be installed to cool it down and avoid direct sunlight as much as possible.
Uses
Cyclopentane, as a new foaming agent for rigid polyurethane foam, is used to replace chlorofluorocarbons (CFCS) that are destructive to the ozone layer of the atmosphere. It has been widely used in the production of fluoride free refrigerators, freezers, refrigerators, pipeline insulation and other fields.
